Manchester United are expected to have scouts for Real Madrid's Champions League opener against Dinamo Zagreb.
Spanish sources say United are following two of Dinamo's bright young things, Mateo Kovacic and Mario Situma.
Kovacic has attracted enquiries from United and Arsenal this year, while Situma has come to the attention of United manager Sir Alex Ferguson via his East European scouting network.
Attacking midfielder Kovacic, 17, has played five games this season scoring twice, while 19 year-old striker Situma struck four goals in five games for Croatia in the summer's U21 European Championships.
